I know project offset is what they are calling a game that uses the offset engine, the game will be exclusive to the 360 and PC and has been in development for some time, they plan to give the game an actual name later on and for now they are just calling it this because it uses the offset engine. It is supposed to be a pretty advaned engine and game.
Edit: this is another one of those 360 exclusives the media is ignoring for whatever reason.
When you consider the fact that the hardware shortage is so bad that you can hardly even find 360s in the states, the number that PS3 beat the 360 by is rather pathetic.
noticed that too, many PS3 fans were screaming DMC4 out as one of the reasons PS3 would destroy the 360, and now they don't even want to buy it. It seems like this silly console war is all that matters to these type of fans, even more than gaming itself. Sad.
better, the PS3 has a bunch of sequals and LBP which will turn out to be about as significant as Ratchet&Clank in the end. 360 has More innovative games coming, even the sequals are doing something new and different, GTP,KZ2 and MGS4 will likely be more of the same just as DMC4 was, nothing new. This does not equal better.
Those issues are nothing if you are a true gamer, heck Ferrari's are unreliable but do you think if I has the cash I wouldn't pick one up? I love cars and I love gaming, the 360 is a must have for all non fanboys.
Just stop, the PS3 lineup is not even going to be as great as the 360 2007 lineup, you claim every game on the 360 will suck, and every game on PS3 will be the second coming of Christ, you are just a fanboy, clearly you cannot be taken seriously, there is no way of knowing all the 360 games will suck and all the PS3 games will be great, you have not played any of them.
Help me out here, why does everyone keep saying the PS3 lineup is so great, it is about the same as the 360 line up, except the 360 has more exclusives, keep in mind at least two 360 exclusives are out now. The media is ignoring most of the 360 exclusives because they are so busy spreading Sony propaganda.
But i prefer to watch movies with mine, and i hope they keep this kind of poking fun up, it convinces stupid kids that thier HDDVD collections are worthless enough for them to sell to folks like me online for close to nothing. I got a Toshiba HD A3 for 69 bux spanking new lass night!!! I plan to get all 500 supthing movies as well, probably for dirt cheap! This is living LOL!!!

everyone is so busy praising Sony for the bluray win that no one has even stopped to look at what this win means to consumers. If you are an adult who has no interest in a game console you have to wait to enter the high def era. Bluray stand alone players are obsolete garbage, they do not update via ethernet, are slow as molassis, and still overpriced. Of coarse the shortage is real. like I keep saying I can't even find an arcade in my town, Best Buy, Circuit City, Target all sold out.
For those who think this is permanent, forget about it, 360 will be outselling PS3 again come March, that will not show up until April NPD numbers however.
the DLC on XBL has always been outstanding, be it demos and game movies, or TV shows and HD Movie downloads. There is just more stuff on XBL than you will ever have time to take all in.
If you look at the posts on this topic, and most other topics involving the 360, you will see a very negative anti MS tone. This site is heavily biased in favor of the PS3, most of the posts are based on nothing more than hate for the 360 and MS, no fact or logic to be seen. So how am I a fanboy if I choose to not partake in this one sided irrational anti MS atmosphere?

do they usually announce a bunch of stuff at GDC? These journalists get everyone all hyped up, and then when nothing is announced everyone gets POed at Sony and MS, when they never claimed to be announcing much of anything in the first place.
I really would not get my hopes up folks. We MAY see some Fable2 demonstrations but that is about it.
is it so hard for some people to accept that the 360 is still selling well? It is not rocket science, most folks still do not have HDTVs, which means Bluray is worthless to them, add to that, the 360 is cheaper, STILL has more games, has released more games in 2008 so far, arguably has better features, and runs games better, and it makes perfect sense. Plus like someone said, people want what thier friends have.
